Which night guard do I need?

The easiest way to find out is to speak directly with your dentist. Heavy grinders, in most situations, have significant symptoms and are aware that they grind heavily. If your dentist has told you that you grind your teeth but you were unaware of it, you are most likely a moderate grinder who might benefit from a hybrid night guard.

Which guard should I get: upper or lower? Or perhaps both?

The upper guard is the most common option. Because some customers prefer to wear one over the other, we provide an option of upper or lower guard.

The upper guard is preferred by the vast majority of consumers (over 90%). The upper guard is preferred by most consumers since it does not obstruct their tongue as much as the lower guard. If you like the fit or if you've had dental surgery done (e.g. crowns, implants) and your dentist suggests a lower guard, you can go with it.

How long will the night guard last? Is there a warranty?

Please notify us if the night guard cracks or breaks due to normal wear and tear while in use and within the warranty term. We will replace it free of charge. To be eligible for a replacement under the guarantee, the cracked or broken night guard must be returned.

What are the materials used to make the night guards?

We utilize the same materials as the night guards we make for dentists because we're a professional dental lab that serves dentists.

A durable acrylic outer layer and a vinyl soft inner layer combine to create the hybrid night guard. Soft vinyl is used to make the soft night guard. All of the materials are FDA-approved and originate from reputable dental vendors.

How do I take the impression of my teeth?

In the home impression kit, we provide you, you'll find full instructions with photographs on how to take your teeth impressions. It simply takes approximately 15 minutes to complete the process.

Dental impression trays for upper and lower teeth, impression putty (with an additional set in case you need to complete a retake), and a pre-paid return envelope are included in the impression package.

Note: If you have any protrusions in your mouth, there is no need to worry as these bumps are most likely harmless growths of extra bone called tori, but you should not do self-impressions. Tori are relatively uncommon and most people do not have them. You should ask your dentist if you have any tori that exist prior to doing self-impressions, and you should not do self-impressions if tori or similar protrusions exist, as it can negatively affect the outcome or lead to potential injury.

How long will it take for my night guard to arrive?

The full procedure normally takes 3 to 4 weeks, from purchasing to obtaining an impression kit to receiving your finished night guard.
